Job Title 

Weekend Overnight Program Monitor - Stanford 


Summary 

The Weekend Program Monitor is a part-time, non-exempt position whose responsibilities include the provision of services to dually diagnosed veteran residents, monitoring the activities of residents after business hours, responding to emergencies, completing appropriate documentation to include incident reports and log book entries, monitoring meals, and working with clinical staff to facilitate treatment and identify resident issues.? 

 

Schedule 

Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

 

Responsibilities  

  • Maintain good attendance record, including timely notification if unable to work shift 
  • Monitor the activities of residents on weekends 
  • Respond to emergencies, crisis intervention, complete appropriate documentation (Incident Reports), and work with staff to facilitate treatment and identify resident issues 
  • Maintain daily log book, monitor security cameras, and sign-in 
  • Clerical duties as assigned 
  • Attend mandatory meetings and trainings 
  • Clerical duties, i.e. photo copying and assembling charts, etc. 
  • Documentation, i.e. incident reports and log book entries 
  • Perform comparable related duties as required by management 

 

Requirements 

Education 

  • High school diploma or GED considered with experience  

Experience 

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working with “hard to serve”, substance abuse, and mental health clients, with at least one (1) year in a human service agency  
  • Translatable military experience and skills may be alternatively substituted  

Skills 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision 
  • Good communication skills  
  • Ability to interact productively with residents and staff 

Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of motivational interviewing, harm reduction, crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques 
  • Managing the program environment after regular hours 
  • Maintain good attendance record, including timely notification if unable to work shift 
  • Ability to walk and stand periodically during work shift 
  • Employee must be able to perform essential functions of this position within what would be considered reasonable accommodations 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities and be comfortable working with an at-risk client population, including embracing the agency’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative
