Lincoln School values a diverse faculty and staff and seeks applications from individuals who share our commitment to educating girls to fearlessly embrace the opportunities and responsibilities of full citizenship in a complex world.

About Our Team

The Advancement Office is a small team of talented professionals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to Lincoln School’s mission, provide the best in customer service, continually strive for excellence, and embrace a desire to consistently surpass expectations. Good ideas come from everyone on our team and we look forward to hearing yours. We collaborate with the Head of School, the Board of Trustees, parents, alumnae, donors, volunteers, students, faculty, and peers to do our part in advancing girls’ education and fund the strategic goals of the Lincoln School community and we have fun doing it.

About You

You have a bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent experience, with a high level of professionalism, flexibility, enthusiasm and you enjoy supporting your team and working with volunteers, board members and high level trustees. You see opportunities in obstacles and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You value working in and fostering an inclusive community. You are excited by the possibility of working in a school environment and believe in the power of philanthropy.

You’re action-oriented with excellent planning and organizational skills and are naturally detail-oriented. You have a clear understanding of the strategic value that correct data provides from data entry to reporting to donor experience; recognizing it as the critical foundation for success in any fundraising department.

  • Prepage agendas and minutes for meetings, track RSVPs and manage correspondence with attendees, and support the creation of presentations and materials as needed.
  • Assist in the scheduling of meetings for the Director of Advancement, manage the overall Advancement Team calendar, and ensure team needs are met for donor visits and events.
  • Submit and track all payment requests and expense reports, assist with mailings and postage accounts, and track inventory of supply needs prior to events, programs, and major mailings.
  • Support in the execution of event logistics, including vendor research, quotes/proposal process, and coordinating meetings, managing the event database, RSVPs, and attendance status.

Database Management

  • Produce donor acknowledgements and complete all data entry for the fundraising team.
  • Produce monthly fundraising reporting and dashboards.
  • Maintain current data in both Lincoln Connect and donor database.
  • Investigate and resolve data-related issues, identify and prioritize data cleanliness goals.
  • Fulfill data requests for mailing lists and team projects.

The Advancement Team enthusiastically accepts other duties, as well as learning opportunities, as needed and assigned. Attendance at night and weekend Advancement events is required as a member of the team.

About Lincoln School

Founded in 1884, Lincoln operates at the intersection of tradition and innovation. As the nation’s only independent school for girls based on Quaker values, we offer a unique experience for Kindergarten through Grade 12. What’s more, we run a coed program from six weeks through Pre–Kindergarten.

At Lincoln, girls come first. At Lincoln, girls hold all of the leadership positions. Through its size and mission—with a dynamic, challenging and innovative academic program, the School prepares girls to build their confidence; through successes, and through trial and error, through discovery, through laughter, and with joy. Girls practice speaking up and out, tapping into strengths even they may not know they had. Lincoln offers generous holiday and vacation packages, and a retirement match program after one year of service. Enjoy lunch in the cafeteria during the school year and the joy of seeing education in action during special school events.
