Sweet Farm is seeking a resourceful, creative, outgoing (Social) Media & Community Manager who will be responsible for creating high-quality content & coordinating events that engages Sweet Farm’s members and supporters. The (Social) Media & Community Manager will manage Sweet Farm Foundation’s digital platforms, including the website, CRM system, social media accounts, email and other dissemination tools. In this role you will be responsible for all donor communications, publish and promote marketing, editorial and fundraising content/campaigns directly and across social media. 

The (Social) Media & Community Manager will carry responsibility for: 

  • helping to grow Sweet Farm’s income through events, outreach and memberships
  • launching effective fundraising, branding, social media and PR campaigns,
  • implementing an impactful event strategy 

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying relevant donor groups and help develop tactics on how to reach them and communication with them effectively.
  • Coordinate and implement fundraising campaigns and events to meet the fundraising goals.
  • Support the development of a marketing and communication strategy that is focused on: acquisition, retention and upgrade of donors. You will help create an A+ experience for all people supporting Sweet Farm
  • Create communication and publications for all Sweet Farm’s channels including: website, social media, PR, events, direct e-mail, acknowledgment letters, articles etc
  • Oversee the creation, production and presentation of all publications and events to support the organization’s fundraising activities and advocacy efforts.
  • Support and guide a team of volunteers who are supporting events, tours and communication (photography/ videography etc).
  • Execute a calendar of cultivation and stewardship events that engage donors and potential donors in the organization's mission and programs.  
  • Conduct targeted research to identify new funding opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain a donor database to maintain accurate moves management records and donor information.
  • Manage all necessary administrative systems and procedures to track, record, report, acknowledge, and recognize all contributions and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all fundraising, prospect and donor communications.
  • Ensure the administration of correspondence as it relates to development membership and fundraising activities.


The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in development support, marketing communication support and/or event support. Additionally, Sweet Farm seeks applications from individuals embodying the following:

  • Strong communication and social media skills.
  • Tech savvy, comfortable in a digital-first environment. Proficient in donor database software and website building software. Experience with Squarespace and or Network for Good is a plus!
  • Experience with implementing successfull fundraising campaigns, PR efforts and/ or events.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to be a self-starter, facilitator and organizer.
  • Experience in working with volunteers.
  • Outstanding analytical and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
