Description

Calle 24 Latino Cultural District is a non-profit whose mission is ​​to preserve, enhance and advocate for Latino cultural continuity, vitality, and community in San Francisco’s touchstone Latino Cultural District and the greater Mission neighborhood.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic, financial and operational responsibility for Calle 24’s Latino Cultural District staff, programs, expansion and execution of its mission and vision.


Duties

  • ● Oversee staff, contractors, consultants, volunteers, and vendors
  • ● Responsible for planning and operation of annual budget, audits, accounting, invoices
  • and taxes
  • ● Establish employment, administrative and financial policies and procedures for day to
  • day operations in compliance with state and federal laws
  • ● HR management, coach, train, lead and develop
  • ● Develop organizational structures and processes, best practices
  • ● Develop tracking and program evaluation processes
  • ● Approve calendars/deliverables
  • ● Review and approve contracts
  • ● Manage contract deliverables and reporting
  • ● Review marketing strategy and implementation
  • ● Work with Council and staff to carry out mission and vision of Calle 24
  • ● Ensure communication flow between council, staff, and committees
  • ● Collaborate with council on strategic planning
  • ● Maintain stakeholder relationships to strategically advance Calle 24’s mission
  • ● Coordinate fundraising initiatives
  • ● Some grant writing
  • ● Attend Council and committee meetings, providing all information necessary for the
  • Council to function properly in a timely manner and make informed decisions
  • ● Represent Calle 24 at public, governmental and coalition meetings
  • ● Report to Council and Council President


Qualifications

  • ● Align with Calle 24 Mission/Vision
  • ● Proven track record of organizational leadership and management
  • ● Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
  • ● Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic objectives
  • ● Experience working with diverse stakeholders
  • ● Budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and
  • reporting
  • ● Nonprofit experience
  • ● Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ● Fund development experience
  • ● Knowledge of fundraising strategies
  • ● Grant writing and grant management experience
  • ● Experience with Calle 24 communities a plus
  • ● Public speaking/presentation experience
  • ● BA or equivalent in Public Administration or Public Policy or minimum 3 to 5 years
  • experience in a management-level role
  • This is a contract position, approximately 25 hours per week, lasting 18 months with potential for renewal.
