Brain Injury Services (BIS) is a non-profit organization with a mission to help children and adults with a brain injury build the skills and confidence they need to lead a fulfilling and productive life.


BIS is currently looking for a part-time Activity Coordinator in our Fredericksburg office to provide consistent energy and excitement to an active community of Survivors of Brian Injury. Our goal is to foster partnerships with our clients and community providers, while providing an engaging social and learning focused environment. The Activity Coordinator’s role will be to facilitate safe, fun, and educational group activities under the general direction of the Community Coordinator and Program Manager.

20 Hour position: 9-3pm Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday ( 2 additional hours planned monthly)

Employment Standards:

Education and Experience: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, social work or a closely related field is preferred. A minimum of one year experience providing community based services to persons with disabilities, preferably those with brain injuries, is highly desirable. Preference will be given to those applicants with experience in community-based day programs, and knowledge of person-centered practices.
