The Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR) is the largest house staff union in the United States. We are a local of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), representing over 17,000 resident physicians who are dedicated to improving residency training and education, advancing patient care, and expanding healthcare access for our communities. CIR’s mission is to empower our nation’s interns, residents, and fellows to fight for excellence for our patients.
The primary role of the Researcher is to provide analytical support to CIR’s new organizing campaigns; they will be a member of the Strategic Campaigns team and work closely with CIR’s New Organizing Team. The Researcher is responsible for compiling and analyzing financial, legal, and industry data on hospitals, medical schools, and the healthcare system. Researchers also educate CIR leaders, staff, and allies on their findings to build strategic campaigns involving members, elected officials, and other community organizations.
