CLC is looking to hire a reliable Billing Specialist for our Monterey Park-based office. CLC is a dynamic non-profit organization that is consistently evolving and improving to ensure the well-being and future success of our clients. We are a 500+ employee-focused California organization, that has locations in Monterey Park, Lancaster, and Sacramento. With our annual $40M budget, we provide quality legal representation to over 38,000 children and youth in the Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Placer County foster care systems. 

CLC continues to strive for excellency and provide our clients with the support they need to succeed. We rely on grants and government contracts to further our important mission, which is why a talented, confident, and organized Billing Specialist will be a critical addition to our growing team in our Monterey Park headquarters. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for the billing of grants and government contracts. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player and must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include, and are not limited to:

·     Monitors grant expenses and completes grant reconciliation, including research-related financial reporting

·     Works collaboratively with CLC’s accounting and payroll teams, and other employees/vendors to ensure billing accuracy

·     Prepares grant invoices and ensures CLC is compliant with program guidelines before final submission to government entities

·     Tracks and reports grant budget

·     Develop a project plan to meet all deadlines and compliance requirements

·     Performs various other accounting and administrative duties as required

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

·     Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in accounting/billing; grant billing experience preferred

·     Advanced Excel skills and analytical skills

·     Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver assignments under tight deadlines while maintaining a calm demeanor

·     Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines

·     Ability to adapt to changing priorities as required

·     Self-motivated, positive, and proactive individual capable of working as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment

·     Extensive experience, judgment, and resourcefulness to plan and accomplish goals and overcome obstacles

·     Strong written and verbal communications, and the ability to interact with employees and government agencies

·     Be eligible to work in the United States
