POSITION SUMMARY:

The Special Events Associate will work within the exciting and fast paced Special Events office at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA). Specializing in wedding sales and social business, the Special Events Associate will support the mission of the museum by raising funds through facility rentals. This is an entry level position for someone who is passionate about a career in the events industry. As with any hospitality job, nights and weekends are expected.

Responsibilities:

Market and coordinate special events to produce income for NMWA, specializing in wedding sales. Assist the Director of Special Events, Leadership Team, and Museum Trustees with planning internal events. Provide personalized, professional and courteous service and partnerships which promote the museum in a positive manner.

Qualifications:  This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates must be organized, creative and have excellent people skills.
