Roles and Responsibilities

 Breaktime is looking for a passionate, driven, and creative individual to serve as our founding Manager of Recruitment. The Manager of Recruitment is a deeply empathetic and charismatic individual who thrives in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments. In order to serve more young adults, we are looking for someone who is an exceptional, details-oriented communicator to lead Breaktime’s recruitment team. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Design Strategic Recruitment Plan for FY22 and beyond; including but not limited to:
  • Development of target goals and project timeline 
  • Identification, development and implementation of innovative recruitment practices designed to increase program enrollment 
  • Development of operational systems and structures designed to increase enrollment
  • Protocols for collection and tracking of data to inform progress toward goals  
  • Execute Recruitment Operations and Activities aligned with Strategic Plan
  • Develop new, and manage existing, referral partnerships
  • Plan and execute information sessions and open houses for prospective young adults, housing providers and case managers
  • Design and execute a physical + digital marketing strategy to reach recruitment targets
  • Manage and Train Recruitment Ambassador(s)
  • Coordinate opportunities that empower direct reports to be effective in recruiting young adults from target communities
  • Create a supportive and goal-oriented culture for recruitment team
  • Provide reasonable goals, professional development, and evaluation for direct reports
  • Facilitate team meetings and check-ins
  • Manage On-Boarding Process for New Young adults in the Program
  • Coordinate application and interview process and finalize each cohort roster prior to start date 
  • Assist with disseminating and collecting all relevant onboarding paperwork
  • Enter newly enrolled young adults in Salesforce database
  • Collaborate with Programs Team to Effectively Support and Create a Healthy and Safe Learning Environment for young adults who may be experiencing significant life instability and may have experienced significant trauma
  • Organize and track all information relating to recruitment and intake pipeline using Salesforce and other systems
  • Take initiative to innovate, launch, and rapidly iterate the ways we recruit and engage young adults experiencing housing insecurity
  • Collaborate with a small team of other Program staff, delegate work, clearly communicate goals and expectations, and provide frequent and relevant feedback
  • Report directly to the Strategy Director

Job Requirements

  • A clear, unwavering commitment to elevating the power and potential of young people 
  • At least two years of experience working in recruitment, sales, or training role (with demonstrated ability and track record of success)
  • Creative Self-Starter who is excited to join a fast paced, growing organization.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organization and leadership skills--a demonstrated ability to take initiative, stay organized, delegate work, and support team members in meeting responsibilities
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Suites
  • Ability to regularly travel around Greater Boston area and occasionally other areas of Massachusetts
  • [Preferred] Bi-lingual in Spanish, Portuguese, French or Spanish Creole
  • [Preferred] At least one year of experience working directly with young adults
  • [Preferred] Knowledge and experience of data analysis, impact measurement, and reporting
  • [Preferred] Familiarity with Greater Boston area and communities
