AmeriCorps VISTA

Watson Children's Shelter is looking for a talented, self-motivated, and hardworking AmeriCorps VISTA for a year of service beginning on July 17th, 2023.

VISTAs are members of AmeriCorps, the National Federal Agency for service that brings people together to tackle the country's most pressing challenges. A VISTA will serve with Watsons for one year to assist in development outreach.

You will be responsible for...

• Researching donor profiles
• Compiling marketing materials used for events, promotional pamphlets, social media and communications
• Create content that is used for future campaigns
• Supporting our development team in events, campaigns and marketing.

We are looking for a person who is a team player. Someone who isn't afraid to try new things and explore new possibilities in the world of marketing and development. At Watson we pride ourselves on being people for children. It is expected that you have the same attitude.

Practically speaking we are looking for someone who is proficient in writing, speaking and researching. Someone who can communicate efficiently with donors and treats them with the respect they deserve. We understand that as a VISTA applicant, you are entering out of one stage of life, and into another. It is expected you have a GED or higher education.
