The Mecklenburg County Bar (MCB) is hiring to fill the role of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Assistant Director and Distance Learning Specialist. This role’s primary responsibility is to plan, develop, and implement online programs, webinars, and webcasts for MCB lawyers while ensuring timely and high-quality content. The CLE Assistant Director and Distance Learning Specialist is also responsible for researching emerging trends in delivering online content; spearheading efforts to grow the MCB’s online catalog through content sharing, content purchasing, and other methods; and managing CLE marketing efforts through the MCB’s newsletter, social media, and other new and creative means.

Strong relationship-building skills is essential to the success of the position, as volunteer program planners, committee members, and others depend on and work closely with this individual. The ideal candidate has experience in program management, continuing education, or adult education; online programming; and marketing.

Education and Experience:


·        Bachelor’s Degree from four-year accredited university or college.

·        Three to five years related work experience preferred.

·        Strong aptitude with technology in relation to webcasting and videoconferencing capabilities.
