POSITION SUMMARY
The Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education is looking for a Development Associate to support the Development Manager and the Executive Director in managing fundraising activities for the organization. The Development Associate will work with a dynamic and thriving team of professionals, who enrich and uplift youth through shared cultural art and educational experiences and programs. The Associate will be responsible for various administrative and logistical tasks related to fundraising. This role will have an excellent opportunity to learn fundraising operations for a well-established non-profit.
YOU ARE: An experienced associate who knows how to draft correspondence, reports and sections of proposals. You will demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, excellent follow-through, and have a passion for arts, education, and interest in diverse and under-resourced communities. You’re a dynamic self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks at once.
WE ARE: Casita Maria headquartered in the South Bronx, was established in 1934 as the first charitable organization to serve Latinos in New York City. Today, Casita Maria remains dedicated to its original mission, delivering services to the mostly Latino youth and families in the Bronx. Casita Maria also offers youth programming in East Harlem. Casita operates within a state-of-the-art educational and cultural facility encompassing performance spaces, an exhibition gallery, dance and music studios, and more on its Simpson Street campus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The compensation range for this in-person position is $50,000 - $55,000. Casita Maria offers its full-time employees a robust benefits package including medical; dental; vision; life insurance; flexible spending account; commuter benefits; 403(b) and pension plan.
