The Child Welfare League of America (CWLA), a nonprofit membership-based, advocacy organization, is seeking a marketing/advertising individual for its publications department, CWLA Press. CWLA Press produces the most respected publications in the areas of adoption, foster care, residential treatment, cultural competence, pregnancy and parenting, independent living, and permanency.
This individual will be responsible for assisting CWLA Press in the development and implementation of its marketing outreach, business development, and public relations initiatives pertaining to our upcoming book and periodical projects, and will work closely with the editorial and design team. This is an excellent opportunity for one to support the mission of a nearly 100-year-old national nonprofit organization.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the basic principles of advertising, public relations and/or marketing, and the ability to communicate in a professional manner with the press and community contacts.
Compensation for this position is completely commission-based, which could evolve into a paid position in the future.
