Do you have a good understanding and experience of working in protracted conflicts, fragile contexts and humanitarian contexts through working in a large complex international organization?


Do you have experience of working with complex donor requirements, contracts and compliance with good understanding and experience of complex project management cycles?

 

 

We are looking for a Country Relations Senior Broker within the MENA region at a pivotal time of transition and change for the organisation.

 

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

In this role, you will be a strategic resource for both OGB and the countries they work to support. They will work to support effective channelling OGB’s collective capabilities (I.e. programming; influencing; knowledge; funding; grant and risk management etc) in support of countries as well as being a critical bridge providing an in-depth understanding to OGB of the overarching needs, priorities and challenges faced by countries.

 

The Country Relations team will play a critical part in helping the organisation navigate the considerable changes that are taking place in the Oxfam Model around different forms of presence and complement the work of the regional teams in International Operations fulfilling OGB’s obligations as an Executing Affiliate. There are 3 Country Relations Senior Broker roles focused on Africa, Asia and Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

 

You'll have:

 

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to the values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do and our feminist principles.

 

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

·        Good understanding and experience of working in protracted conflicts, fragile contexts and humanitarian contexts through working in a large complex international organisation

·        Experience of working with complex donor requirements, contracts and compliance with good understanding and experience of complex project management cycles

·        Strong analytical and communication skills, ability collate, synthesise and summarise complex information and

·        Strong representation skills, and outstanding collaboration skills and effective networking skills

·        Good understanding. commitment and ideally experience embedding and continuously learning to embed a decolonial, safe, anti-racist, intersectional feminist and partner led approach in your work.

·        Experience of working at country or regional level or supporting countries or regions remotely with international organisations, in the region/area of focus

·        Strong language skills relevant to the region
