POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Responsibilities. The Project Director is responsible for management and administration of the project including:  

·       fostering and supporting university-based and community research teams using public databases including the All of Us Research Hub.

·       coordinating with community-based partners leading local and regional efforts;

·       fostering researcher and community awareness of research platforms for conducting health research focused on Hispanic communities.

·       representation in research meetings and fostering relationships with key stakeholders; 

·       financial, administrative, and evaluation oversight of research support projects; and 

·       communication of trends and priorities to funder and broader network of stakeholders. 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

Advanced degree (minimum, Master’s) with 3+ years of experience in community-based research. 

·       Substantive knowledge of key health issues affecting Hispanic communities.

·       Strong grounding in and capacity to conduct community-based participatory research.

·       Background in recruitment of Hispanic communities for participation in health research efforts.

·       Proven ability to write reports and deliver presentations; ability to communicate scientific findings to a general audience, including community stakeholders and policymakers. 

·       Excellent oral and written English communication skills; ability to communicate cross-culturally. 

·       Excellent knowledge of MS Office; ability to work in one or more of the following analysis tools preferred: Python, Jupyter Notebook, Terra, Hail, R, and/or Plink,

·       Demonstrated communication skills to work with scientific and community key stakeholders. 

·       Fluency in Spanish is a plus

COMPENSATION

$75,000 to $82,500 annual salary based on experience. Position is full time. Compensation also includes vacation and sick leave and a generous benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and life and disability insurance.

POSITION LOCATION

The position will be based at the Alliance Headquarters in Washington, DC. Some travel expected. Will consider basing this position outside of DC using a remote work platform.
