Description

RESPOND Inc, located in Somerville, MA, seeks a Residential Services Coordinator responsible for ensuring the emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children runs smoothly and safely


The Residential Services Coordinator will:

-Supervise, train and support shelter staff

-Maintain positive connectivity with the broader agency

-Provide support to shelter residents especially in crisis situations

- Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with local providers in a variety of areas

-Assist the Chief Programs Officer with the development of policies, programs, and projects

-Coordinates 24hour shelter coverage schedule

-Supervise hotline services

-Coordinates building maintenance, repair and clean up projects.

-Prepare and maintain all appropriate records and data collection systems. Submits accurate reports as required.

-Provides back up coverage on assigned rotating basis.

-Other duties as assigned


Salary range is $42,000-$48,000 annually

Hours are 12pm - 8pm Monday - Friday


Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, forward thinking, energetic, creative thinker. This position requires schedule flexibility, strong organizational and leadership skills, a can-do approach as well as a sense of humor.


- Bachelors Degree

- at least 3 years of work experience in residential services; 1 year supervisory experience preferred

- Domestic Violence training and experience highly preferred

- Second language highly desired

- Valid drivers' license and access to a reliable vehicle is required

- Must have or be willing to obtain the 25 hour Domestic Violence Counselor Certification (we will train if you don't have it).
