Join The Doe Fund on our mission to break the cycles of homelessness, addiction, and criminal recidivism by providing holistic services, housing and work opportunities to the under-served populations including the formerly homeless and incarcerated, disconnected youth, veterans, and people living with AIDS. Our flagship transitional work program-- Ready, Willing & Able-- integrates paid work, occupational training, and holistic supportive services to facilitate an individual’s return to mainstream society.

We are currently seeking energetic, self-motivated and experienced House Managers to join our team. The House Manager will be responsible for the supervision of our clients and the overall operation of the facility during their designated shifts. House Managers must be able to work independently and make sound decisions to guarantee each clients safety is ensured and needs are being met. The successful candidates will have strong communication skills along with an understanding of working with the specified population.

The Ideal Candidate:

●      You have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent.

●    You possess at least two years of experience working in a residential setting.

●    You have hands-on experience working with the homeless and/or criminal justice population.

●      You possess a certificate or documented proof of training in Fire Guard, Fire Safety, First Aid and CPR.

●      You have working knowledge of federal and state guidelines addressing client confidentiality.

●      You have completed documented training in emergency evacuation and fire safety procedures for a residential facility.

It's a Bonus if You Have:

●      Earned a college level education.

●      Familiarity with the Department of Homeless Services (DHS).

Key Responsibilities:

●    Successfully address any problems, issues or crises that might occur during the designated shift.

●    Assist security staff during his/her tour of duty to ensure the safety and comfort of the clients..

●    Communicate important information to staff through documenting details in a log book.

●    Document all incidents on an incident report and communicate the incident efficiently to staff and management.

●    Responsible for collecting random urine samples from clients.

●    Attend all mandatory staff meetings on time.

●      Maintain a safe and secure living environment.

●      Make independent decisions in an emergency, i.e. fire bomb threat, criminal or drug

activity, and medical emergencies.
