The Brooklyn Waldorf School seeks an Early Childhood Lead Teacher and a Parent Child Assistant Teacher to begin their work in September 2018. Our Early Childhood Program is well established and is a fully accredited member of WECAN. Our Early Childhood Program is historically fully enrolled with both nursery and kindergarten classes. Our established Parent Child Program encompasses offerings for children birth to three. We have a robust Tea & Play outreach program also. We acknowledge the rightfulness of our families to choose to live in an urban environment; yet we seek to create a gentle haven each morning for our children to blossom at their own individual pace.

We are looking for individuals with a strong sense of self and a great love of children. The ideal candidates have teaching experience, is well rounded in the arts, and seeks a collaborative, professional environment. Our faculty is comprised of a diverse mix of seasoned Waldorf teachers and those new to Waldorf education. Hailing from all parts of the world, our teachers blend wonderfully into the fabric of Bedford Stuyvesant. Sense of community is strong and is the cornerstone of the School’s rapid and solid evolution. The partnership between teacher-child-parent lives deeply at our school.

Ideally, candidates will have completed their Waldorf teacher training to qualify for lead positions.
