Recruitment is taking place for the following position: Coordinator, Global Health

Primary Responsibilities include:

Administration and implementation of activities within the ATS Global Health Program.

·        Provide administrative support to the Senior Director, Global Health.

·        Develop the Global Health agenda for conference calls with the Senior Director, Global Health

Provide staff support of the International Lung Health Committee.

Manage activities related to Global Health including but not limited to the ATS International Conference (international and MECOR awards, and the International Participants Center).

 Provide administrative support at ATS-related events

MECOR Program

Assist with the management of the MECOR Program (the MECOR (Methods for Epidemiologic, Clinical and Operations Research) Program is an ATS program which builds research capacity in low and middle-income countries/regions. At this moment ATS has six programs: India, China, Africa, Indonesia, Latin America, and Turkey).

·        Coordinate MECOR program activities, including program logistics, information management and enhancements to the MECOR program.

·        Manage the MECOR program and work with other ATS departments and MECOR Steering Committee members to ensure the success of the program.

·        Assist with the development and management of marketing efforts to promote, brand, and communicate the MECOR program. (including course partners; evaluate and make recommendations on topics, themes and methods of delivery that are relevant and targeted to specific audiences/demographics).

·        Assist with the management of the overall MECOR Program.

 Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree required.

·        Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in association or project management preferred. Experience managing multiple activities/projects at the same time.

·        Great organizational and attention to detail skills.

·        Ability to multitask and work independently as well as in a team. Ability to work with staff at all levels.

·        Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite 2010 and above, various spreadsheet software, and online database management software, including but not limited to: SalesForce and SurveyMonkey. Fluid Review is a plus.

·        Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work

·        Monitor and control expenditures

·        Ability to maintain confidentiality

·        Ability to implement and communicate the Society’s Global Health Strategic Directions and vision for the organization, with the ability to strengthen/maintain relationships both domestically and internationally; ability translate strategic planning into actionable plans and results.
