Project Manager Overview 

Shift-Results is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager whose primary responsibility will be to support the Building Equitable Learning Environments (BELE) Network. The BELE Network brings together ten School Support Organizations (SSOs) to learn and scale practices to build equitable learning environments in schools across the United States. The Project Manager role 'maintains the thread' in this complex network and supports participants to learn from each other through in-person and virtual events with a large variety of stakeholders. 

The Project Manager will actively influence, manage, and drive teams, organizational partners, and projects towards successful completion of activities and deliverables. The individual in this role must be able to work one-on-one and within large, multi-disciplinary teams to set and monitor milestones and deliverables while maintaining and developing strong, collaborative relationships. The Project Manager must demonstrate a commitment to educational equity and social justice and be willing to engage in on-going reflection and learning about what it means to be a leader for equity. 

Employment Duration 

This full-time role will ideally begin in August in our Seattle, WA office.

Desired Experience and Qualifications 

  • Education, social services, or public health experience required. Experience in United States education system desired 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years project management and event planning experience 
  • Experience as manager in network / collaborative, systems improvement projects and/or large-scale change initiative (ideally in the education sector) 
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic direction, execute, and track progress towards collective goals 
  • Strong worker, both independently and in large cross-functional teams 
  • Highly effective, clear, and values-aligned communicator able to respect and value the contributions and opinions of others 
  • Enthusiastic event and logistical coordination, in-person and virtual events 
  • Willingness to engage in honest conversations about challenging topics such as racism and systemic oppression 
  • Interest in quality improvement methods and their application to equity in education 
  • Willingness to travel 


  • Delight faculty and participants with timely communications and personalized support  
  • Provide overall project management, logistics, and operational support for all BELE Network activities (virtual and in-person) 
  • Develop and oversee complex timelines and project work plans with multiple partners; maintain electronic collaboration platforms like Google Docs, Asana, and Zoom 
  • Oversee and execute event coordination for in-person events, including contract negotiations, room blocks, on-site event logistics, audio visual, catering/ receptions/ dinners, participant experience and follow-up 
  • Manage the budget and invoicing for network events  
  • Maintain the website with updated information about in-person and virtual events
