EXEC ADMIN & HR MANAGER (FULL-TIME)

Circus Center, a non-profit organization and the oldest and largest circus training and performing arts center on the West Coast, seeks a full-time salaried Executive Administrator & HR Manager. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Executive Administrator & HR Manager holds a senior administrative role. The Executive Administrator & HR Manager is responsible for administering the organization’s human resources functions and providing the highest level of executive and administrative support to the ED. 

 

Duties include:

Executive Administration

  • Complete broad variety of administrative tasks, including drafting correspondence, preparing documents, maintaining donor databases, and managing payments
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for meetings and events
  • Support clear communication between ED and organization staff
  • Collaborate with ED on anticipating and proactively addressing the needs of the organization

Human Resource Management 

  • Oversee adherence to HR policies and procedures
  • Drive implementation of HR processes
  • Maintain employee files, ensuring the confidentiality and accuracy of employee information
  • Serve as HR contact for all personnel
  • Manage employee benefits and perks

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a relevant position(s). Prior HR and/or nonprofit experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated work experience in an administrative position showing a high level of organizational skills, exceptional dependability, and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of human resources practices and principles, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, mathematical, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to execute special projects as assigned.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs quickly and accurately.
  • Access to a computer with stable internet connection.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

 

Other Requirements:

 

This position is currently remote, but will transition to in-person work within Circus Center’s facilities in San Francisco, CA at a mutually agreed upon time when local and state health regulations allow.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, and climb stairs; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 30 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to various components of an office environment such as fluorescent lighting, pollen, dust, recycled air, cooling fans, VDTs, semi-enclosed areas, seasonal warmer/cooler temperatures and office noise.
