In addition to our youth development and workforce training services, we also provide industry analysis, program management and technical assistance/strategy development for private, government and nongovernment entities interested in connecting industry to the next generation of diverse talent.
LeadersUp seeks a seasoned, dynamic, and mission-driven Specialist II, Talent Solutions (“Sr. Specialist”) to connect Opportunity Youth (young adults ages 18-24 who are out of work and out of school) to career pathways by leading training sessions, community outreach, and recruitment. The Sr. Specialist will provide ongoing training and support to program participants (“Associates”) and develop robust outreach strategies to increase participation in LeadersUp’s P.O.W.E.R. Skills Training Labs and drive attendance to Career Pathway Summits. The Sr. Specialist will work with the Impact department to assist in data collection and program outcome documents to monitor and track training progress and outcomes..
Support to the Director, Talent Solutions in the implementation, planning, and execution of trainings, community outreach, recruitment, and mentorship of Associates.
Develop and refine the P.O.W.E.R. Skills Training Lab content including, agendas, deck presentations and training materials.
Identify curriculum resources and update and refine curriculum where necessary.
Lead and facilitate P.O.W.E.R. Skills Training Labs and workshops.
Maintain and develop new partnerships with community-based organizations.
Conduct and share research on young adult employment opportunities and best/current practices and services.
Provide ongoing career advancement and supportive services to Associates.
Provide referrals to a variety of services to Associates that will increase retention and leverage our network of community-based organizations.
Track program outcomes and Associate data accurately and completely.
Prepare a broad range of Talent Solutions reports as they pertain to recruitment, attendance, and retention.
Liaise with the Communications and Creative Design departments to develop marketing materials.
Other duties as assigned.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated curriculum instructional experience in a workforce development/non-profit setting preferred.
Knowledge of local community-based organizations and resources.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite.
Knowledge of CRM (customer relationship management) or similar software preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Committed to working with and supporting diverse communities.
Willingness and ability to exercise sound professional judgement on issues of sensitivity.
Bilingual fluency highly desirable, but not required.
