Description

Jewish Family and children's Service of Greater Philadelphia (JFCS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to be the IT leader and partner to our staff and programs. The IT Director leads JFCS IT efforts by building, maintaining, and ensuring a strong and integrated technical infrastructure, defining business requirements for all JFCS IT and data systems, promoting effective project management and collaboration, improving workflow and functionality for the best user experience, addressing security risks, and managing the resolution of IT help desk requests. This role collaborates with JFCS department leadership and staff across the organization to identify ways to achieve strategic objectives by modifying existing information processing systems or developing new ones.  The ability to provide all levels of IT support needed is key to the success of the IT Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all aspects of IT operations, including data architecture and integrity, on-premises infrastructure, cloud-based systems, and information security.
  • Administration of Office 365, Teams Phone System, Azure, SharePoint at the enterprise and employee levels
  • Create, implement, and monitor IT policies and procedures.
  • Oversee cybersecurity protections and corresponding staff training.
  • Partner with programs and departments to analyze, identify, and address their IT needs, challenges, and requirements.
  • Increase user satisfaction through strategic solutions and system/process enhancements, improvements, and training.
  • Evaluate technological equipment and software use to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate IT projects aligned with organizational and program objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Impact Team to ensure optimum data collection for program evaluation and assessment and to meet the training and reporting requirements needed for agency operations
  • Manage the help desk and ensure reported issues are resolved promptly; this may require resolving all help desk tickets in the absence of staff
  • Develop, manage, and track the departmental IT budget. This includes overseeing all software/IT contracts and vendor management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external advisors and vendors.
  • Train and orient employees to JFCS systems and resources as required. Additional projects as requested.

  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and storage systems
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet deadlines, as well as work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate thematic needs of staff and recommend appropriate training initiatives to program leaders and Learning and Impact team members

  • Ability to roll up sleeves and take on the needs of the agency 
  • Ability to work with individuals where they are in their understanding of technology and patiently work to resolve issues and knowledge gaps

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have relevant certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft 365 Certified: Security OR Advanced knowledge in Office365, Azure, Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune, SharePoint
  • Three to five years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT administration; management experience highly desired
  • Advanced knowledge of networking principles (SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls) and equipment (routers, switches, WAPs, etc.)
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation
  • Knowledgeable in the latest technology for IT systems and management; demonstrated continuing education activities highly desired
  • Familiarity with CRM technology (EHR, SalesForce)
  • Ability to meet agency required background clearances
  • Ability to meet and maintain agency vaccination policy at hire and as required
  • Travel may be required within the Greater Philadelphia Area based on agency needs. Access to a car with valid driver’s license or ability to use public transportation.
