The Environmental Services Worker will be responsible for performing a variety of janitorial duties and miscellaneous facilities-related duties for a multi-specialty community health center with dental operatories and medical exam rooms, offices, and support spaces. This position will provide coverage as necessary for CHCR's locations. Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and buffering of floors

· Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, break rooms, and kitchenettes

· Receiving, storing, and stocking supplies, boxes, and related materials

· Providing proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals

· Proper collection and disposal of trash and hazardous waste

· Identifying potential safety or maintenance issues and communicating them to the appropriate personnel

· Complying with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies, and incident reporting

· General maintenance of building grounds

· Performing snow removal as necessary (1-3 inches)

Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with a minimum of 2 -4 years of related work experience. Must possess a New York State Driver's License. Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 70lbs). Knowledge of OSHA requirements and other applicable standards. Experience working in a health center or other medical setting is preferred. Travel to other Community Health Center of Richmond satellite locations required. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be a team player, detail oriented, organized, proactive, and be able to follow directives. Must also be able to react to change and stress productively, and to handle other related tasks as assigned.
