Position Overview

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager of Behavioral Health Operations is responsible to plan, develop, and manage the administrative operations and systems that support the effective functioning of the residential behavioral health unit. The Manager of Behavioral Health Operations partners with the Director of Substance Abuse Counseling Service to develop and implement plans that improve care models and service delivery for clients and families.  He or she also works closely with the Manager of BH Services and the Coordinator of BH Services. This includes direction and supervision of administrative and support staff as well as functions supporting delivery of quality client treatment and services while ensuring that all programs are administered in accordance with the Rescue Mission’s Core Values, treatment philosophy, policies and procedures, government regulations and specific contract agreements.

Minimum Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Program Oversight

  • Manages the day to day operations of our 91-bed residential behavioral health unit within a client centered, respectful culture of recovery.
  • Supervises all non-clinical support staff in Behavioral Health to ensure clients are receiving exceptional clinical services.
  • Oversees program quality enhancement; coordinates Mission standards, licensing requirements and individuals supported needs; reviews and submits incident reports and unusual incident reports.
  • Oversees the Daily Morning Meeting, including coordination of client’s appointments.
  • Maintains the deployment of staff, including creating the monthly schedules, taking call-outs and coordinating coverage, approving weekly time sheets, and facilitating bi-monthly Recovery Aide Meetings

Facility Management

  •  Ensures a safe environment for staff, clients, residents, and visitors by coordinating room inspections and supervising the provision of custodial services
  • Responds to and reacts to incidents and crisis complex-wide during assigned shift, coordinating with Administration as needed
  •  Oversees food services in conjunction with Food Services Associate
  •  Other duties as assigned

Administrative Duties

  • Participate in weekly supervision meetings
  • Participate in weekly management meetings
  • Participate in the planning, updating and developing unit policies and procedures

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am-3:30pm with flexibility

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000       

Qualification: Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, education, human services administration or other field related to human services with a minimum of three (3) years of non-profit management and supervisory experience. Bilingual a plus.
