POSITION DESCRIPTION – Membership Manager, PGA East
The Membership Manager serves a vital role within the organization and has direct responsibility for three areas within PGA East: membership registration, engagement and retention; data information and event logistics; office and media management. The position is equally balanced between being able to develop data-driven solutions to simplify administrative processes as well as the capacity for patience and ease in communicating with members and colleagues.
The position reports to the Managing Director, PGA East.
Please note: PGA East seeks to fill this position as soon as possible.
o Process and vet membership applications and answer questions from prospective members
o Become an expert in the tools and functionality of Your Membership, the Guild’s membership database
o Create digital graphics and other assets for East promotions, programs and events
o Manage VOIP phone system, PGA East Box accounts and drives, primary liaison with IT support
o Manage the production, post-production, and delivery of all video and audio content for the PGA East including: educational sessions, member interviews, committee reports
o Coordinate volunteers to fill production roles (sound, camera, pa, etc) and if no volunteers are available, fill in positions directly
o Oversee proper digital asset management standards and workflow for media assets
o Maintain production equipment inventory and advise on new purchases
TECHNICAL SKILLS NECESSARY:
o You must be comfortable using the following: MS Office suite, FileMaker Pro, entire Adobe suite (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), Audition (audio) and Premier (editing), Google suite, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, and social media
o Cloud computing, and cloud storage – and best practices of both
o Basic Html knowledge
o Wordpress fluency is a plus
o Experience posting and managing video content on Vimeo and YouTube
o You must love film, television and new media and have a genuine appreciation for the individuals who produce this content.
o You must be a systems thinker, capable of identifying and articulating efficiencies in workflow across all programs, events and initiatives.
o You must be a team player as well as a problem solver. PGA East has a small full-time staff and many committees and stakeholders involved in the successful production of its programs and events.
o You must be a patient communicator as you will frequently need to translate technical or database solutions to those uncomfortable with data or technical systems and information.
o A minimum of two years of relevant experience, preferably for other guilds, trade associations, festivals, non-profit organizations, etc.
o An undergraduate degree
The salary range is $55,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience. Health and pension benefits also provided.
