The Digital Marketing and Strategy Consultant will be responsible for coordinating and creating all digital marketing and strategy plans with Blue Star Families. This includes using data analytics to help achieve and support Blue Star Families’ membership goals. The desired candidate will understand the digital experience and how to enhance our member’s experience through various methods.

Key Job Functions 

  •  Support the organization’s member experience goals by creating effective digital, cross-platform marketing campaigns based on market trends and analytics 
  • Build annual digital marketing plans and schedules and collaborate with other managers to integrate efforts 
  • Build digital analytics reports to track performance, establish KPI’s, and improve digital experiences 
  • Create search engine optimization plans and set performance metrics 
  • Leverage Google Ads Grant to amplify organization through paid search 
  • Create a membership environment that strengthens member commitment and promotes loyalty 
  • Create experience journeys for each member segment and document changes and improvements 
  • Utilize A/B testing, marketing techniques, and email funneling to engage members or drive membership campaigns
  • Coordinate marketing messaging across all digital channels (web, search, email, and social) 
  • Create written and visual digital content 
  • Create/edit video content 
  • Manage relationships with service providers 
  • Manage video channel for Blue Star Families and align it with other platforms to stay on brand 
  • Manage member relations; promote Blue Star Families’ programs and services by identifying member needs and matching them with organizational value propositions 
  • While collaborating with cross-functional teams, effectively develop and implement membership campaigns to support achieving annual membership target 
  • Build relationships with partners to support each other’s business goals, such as: Member Services, increases in military family support services, enhanced community connection and more 
  • Stay informed regarding local market activities and our competitive position relative to other organizations
  •  Collaborate with the Blue Star Families’ team to understand membership objectives/goals and work together to achieve the desired results 
  • Other duties as required 

Requirements

Required Experience, Skills & Background 

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or related experience
  • Passion for military families 
  • Enjoy digital community building and have in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios 
  • In-depth knowledge of digital publishing, listening and analytics platforms, and tools 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • Self-starter and creative thinker 
  • Technology enthusiast 
  • Experienced writer 
  • Marketing experience, including the ability to use various marketing tools and techniques
  • Comfortable with technology and working with technology teams, to include using Salesforce or another CRM’s 
  • Ability to analyze data and familiarity with various analytics tools 
  • Out-of-town, overnight travel may be required 
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to carry out key job functions
