The data analyst works with members of all departments to inform business decision-making at many levels. The data analyst will work with data from varied and disparate sources, as well as help plan data strategy for new data stores. The right candidate will be knowledgeable in SQL and statistical software, ideally SAS or R, and will be a self-starter, capable of starting and completing tasks without significant oversight.

Tasks:

·     Analyze data captured from our various patient-facing platforms: CreakyJoints (www.creakyjoints.org), our online patient community; ArthritisPower (www.arthritispower.org), our patient-powered research network; and PainSpot, (www.painspot.com) our online pain locator site.

·     Analyze website analytics to understand campaign performance as well as to better inform patient engagement tactics and search engine optimization.

·     Analyze patient-reported outcome data to support research and advocacy efforts.

·     Create data reports to update department managers and inform sales efforts.

·     Work with designers to craft data visualization of interesting data points.

·     Independently research health literature and journal publications to identify important patient-centered insights for select chronic illnesses.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:

·     Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

·     Experience with the coding language SQL and statistical software such as SAS or R required.

·     Familiarity with basic database concepts.

·     Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.

·     Experience with Google Analytics a plus.

·     Strong quantitative analytical skills (qualitative analytical skills a plus).

·     Comfortable working independently and possessing a strong sense of initiative (self-starter).

·     Strong interpretative and translational thinking skills.

·     Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·     Strong people skills.
