The University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a Research Assistant Professor to fill a vacancy within the Department of Emergency Medicine. This position is a non-tenured faculty position.
Demonstrate strong leadership and experience related to conducting research in the field of Emergency Medicine.
Acquire and maintain federal and foundation funding to support and advance research and development activities.
Cultivate and lead both inter-department and cross-campus research collaborations that capitalize on ‘public health and health policy topics.
Collaborate with internal and external partners for funding and research opportunities.
Mentor junior researchers and trainees to develop competitive grant applications and collaborations.
Collaborate effectively with research community, clinical services, and administration.
Consistent publications of research results in high impact journals. Organize symposiums/meetings or present research results in major scientific conferences.
Plan and develop strategies for graduate research symposiums in the department and faculty networking meetings in the university.
Ph.D. required. Desirable candidates would have a track record of peer-reviewed publications, presentations in academic conferences, experience obtaining and maintaining federal and foundation funding, and qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
We are particularly looking for candidates with research interests in social emergency medicine, public health, health equity, and health policy.
