Summary 

For almost a century, Concord Academy has relied on an extensive network of faculty, staff, students, alumnae/i, parents, and friends around the globe to fulfill the mission of the school. These members of the CA community have written the story of CA, each with their own chapter. As we plan to celebrate our Centennial milestone (2022 – 2023), we will honor all CA voices and legacies along with the traditions and values propelling CA into the future. Reporting to the Director of Advancement and Engagement, the Centennial Planning Coordinator will take on the following responsibilities:

 

Job Responsibilities 

·        Serve as lead project manager for CA’s Centennial celebration events and programs; 

·        The person in this role will be the “hub” and primary facilitator for internal and external communications, on campus and regional programming, campus signage, and faculty and student-led initiatives;

·        Working in partnership with the Director of Engagement, coordinate and execute events in alignment with CA’s Centennial celebration goals and vision;

·        Working in partnership with the Director of Marketing and Communications, support and coordinate Centennial communications projects (e.g., roll out of the Centennial branding, social media, signage and print materials, website, and CA gear);

·        Effectively organize, support, and deploy volunteer committees;

·        Assist in ensuring the successful fall 2022 publication of CA’s Centennial Book project, authored by Lucille Stott (former CA faculty member);

·        Marshal internal stakeholders and coordinate with Boston Art to execute CA’s “Halls and Walls” project;

·        Keep school leaders well informed of plans and progress;

·        This is a part-time position;

·        Perform and execute other duties and projects related to the Centennial as assigned.

 

Qualifications 

·        Highly detailed oriented

·        Experience in event planning required 

·        Enthusiasm for the Concord Academy community; eagerness to celebrate CA’s unique culture 

·        Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously

·        Eager to collaborate with alumnae/i and parent volunteers 

·        Ability to work independently and manage time effectively 

·        Ability to seek guidance as appropriate 

·        Sensitivity to privacy and confidentiality of records 

·        Positive attitude

·        Raiser’s Edge experience a plus 

·        Ability to work evenings and weekends on occasion
