POSITION DESCRIPTION:


Job Title: School-Based Program Coordinator

Reports to: School-Based Program Manager for concerns, questions, and assignments.

Hours: F/T, 40 hrs/week 9 am-5 pm.


The School-Based Programs Coordinator assists the Program Manager in the logistical support, tracking and assessment, and data management for all School-Based Programs. Groundswell’s School-Based Programs include up to twenty-five programs annually in all five boroughs.


The School-Based Programs Coordinator assists the School-Based Programs Manager in the coordination of all school-based project details such as review of curricula/work plans, creation of session/event calendar, tracking of youth attendance, coordination of program evaluation, and coordination of community partner surveys. The School-Based Program Coordinator may assist in school-based project development meetings and classroom observations. The Program Coordinator will oversee information management and facilitate timely updating of project information in Salesforce and Groundswell’s cloud-based server.


This is a mid-level position intended for an individual seeking to deepen their work in producing arts and justice programs in a community-based arts organization. Groundswell’s office/studio is in Gowanus, Brooklyn, convenient to the Union Street subway station.


The Ideal Candidate has:

• Experience with arts education, social justice pedagogy, and youth development.

• Experience with the use of databases such as Salesforce to track program progress/success.

• Experience with curriculum development, connecting learning activities and objectives.

• Experience with development and facilitation of program evaluation

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in youth development, arts programming, social

justice work

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


Program tracking and support, Data Collection & Management


• Coordinate School-Based Programs which includes program development

• Assist in the co-development and growth of new School programs/initiatives

• Plan, coordinates and executes School-Based Programs events

• Works with PM to assess progress and deliverables for school-based programs

• Oversees program information in Salesforce; inputting, updating

• Assist in the work-planning, implementation, and execution of program evaluation and assessment with teaching artists

• Track spending, TA compensation and other budgetary concerns for SBP

• Work with Master Studio and Community-Based Program Managers to provide logistical support and data management as necessary (up to 30% of total effort)

• Conduct fundamental program analysis to assess the progress of programs to determine whether programs are on track or need interventions


SALARY & BENEFITS


• 40k – 42k annual salary
