Position Summary


Reporting to the Director of Development, the Fund Development Manager, Partnerships is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing fund development strategies with the Director of Development that will raise funds to meet or exceed budget goals and expand public support of Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles (GSGLA). The Fund Development Manager, Partnerships will be responsible for soliciting corporate donors at leadership and major gift levels, with special attention on GSGLA’s Corporate Partnership Initiative. He/she will identify, organize and manage fundraising strategies to obtain new, ongoing and increased support in multi-pronged corporate giving structures that support council-led programming for girls. He/she will oversee all fundraising related to GSGLA’s Signature Fundraising Events.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Corporate Partnerships


·  Maintain a portfolio of corporate prospects and focus on personalized cultivation and solicitation through direct contact and active prospect management.

·  Research and pursue new funding opportunities; build pipeline system that proactively promotes ongoing relations with increased financial commitments.

·  Develop and implement strategic outreach plan to increase visibility of GSGLA with Los Angeles-based corporations.

·  Build strong and productive relationships and ensure timely personal communication with portfolio prospects.

·  Prepare compelling prospect and donor materials such as letters, proposals and stewardship reports as needed with a focus on corporate partnership solicitations.

·   Maintain a healthy balance of engagement, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship with prospects and donors.


Girl Scout Gold Event


·  Manage all fundraising aspects of GSGLA’s Signature Fundraising Event – Girl Scout Gold

·  Maintain a portfolio of individual and corporate prospects, as related to ticket and sponsorship sales.

·  Manage revenue projections and prepare timely forecasts in order to drive strategies year-round.

·  Develop plans for solicitation of donations, both cash and in kind. Maintain communication with supervisors around progress toward goal and donor and prospect management support.

·  Develop and help manage partnership portfolios for CEO, CERO, DOD and Board of Directors to achieve revenue goals.

·  Develop and maintain a committee of influential donors to help achieve goals as related to event

·  Prepare compelling prospect and donor materials such as letters, proposals and stewardship reports as needed with a focus on corporate partnership solicitations.

·  Work with each sponsor to achieve customized signage, program space, or other marketing opportunities. Follow up on all sponsor payments due and develop appropriate thank you and recognition.

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities


· Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in donor database including complete moves management records, focusing on published call reports after phone calls, visits, and solicitation opportunities.

· Collaborate with the Engagement and Stewardship team to implement strategic solicitation strategies that complement their cultivation events. Collaborate with the Grants Specialist to extend sponsorship relationships into grant opportunities and vice versa.

· Support the External Relations team with special projects as needed.

· Maintain courteous and professional attitude at all times.

· Able to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekends.

· Other duties as assigned.


Skill, Experience and Education


· Minimum of 3 years’ of experience in fundraising and successful revenue generation from corporate partnerships and/or development events.

· Strong attention to the donor experience and assurance that the highest level of programmatic and/or event sponsorship experiences are always met.

· First rate customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to think critically and strategically to anticipate challenges and trouble-shoot.

· Exceptional project management skills and ability to multi-task within strict timelines and budgetary constraints.

· Excellent presentation skills, ability to pitch corporate prospects as needed.

· Experience with Los Angeles-based corporations desirable.

· Experience managing budgets and creating and presenting detailed, timely, and accurate reports. Related both to fundraising revenue and special events expenditures.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and customer relations management databases.

· Experience as a Girl Scout desirable.

· Bachelor’s degree required.
