The Medical Assistant assists CHCR’s clinicians by facilitating patient and information flow through numerous phases of the patient visit. Maintains exam rooms and patient flow to and from exam rooms. Obtains purpose of visit, vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and measurements) and documents appropriately in electronic medical records system. Informs the clinician of abnormal readings or significant deviations from prior visits. Assists clinician with office procedures involving direct patient care. Proactively works towards achieving high patient satisfaction by offering friendly and professional service.
Requirements: Medical Assistant Certificate required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year work experience, preferably in ambulatory care. CPR Certification required; Electronic medical records experience. Experience in operating medical equipment and phlebotomy. Ability to seek out assistance and information when necessary. Competent infection control skills and knowledge.
