The Women’s Bar Association is a state-wide organization dedicated to advancing women in the legal profession and in a just society.  The WBA provides women attorneys access to a tremendous professional network, targeted programming, and leadership opportunities, and advocates on behalf of women and families.  

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The MEMBERSHIP SPECIALIST coordinates and promotes all aspects of WBA membership, and also supports WBA programming and communications.  A majority of this work is performed with our CiviCRM database and our website.

• Work closely with the WBA’s Vice President of Membership and Statewide Outreach to recruit new WBA members, and engage existing WBA members through participation and investment in WBA events and activities.

• Perform all aspects of membership analytics; prepare weekly and monthly membership data analysis reports.  Process membership applications, renewals, and follow up on expired individual and firm memberships.  

• Conduct regular data quality review of database information, in coordination with the Data and Communications Specialist.

• Communicate with WBA committee chairs, board members and event co-chairs to coordinate logistics and promotion for organization-wide programs and events with WBA staff.    Manage internal logistics and promote events, membership, and legislative agenda on social media with WBA Staff.   Send follow-up emails to registrants after events and meetings.  Prepare and send weekly WBA e-newsletter to membership.  

• Prepare relevant marketing materials and special event publications; promote WBA membership and programs, working with office team.  Attend committee and organization events to oversee registration, and work with office team at the fall Gala and spring Annual Meeting.

• Maintain organization-wide calendar.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Experience with CiviCRM and content management systems (CMS) such as Drupal or  Wordpress preferred.

• Familiarity with social media platforms.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.  Interest in learning about additional programs, such as Canva.

• Displays initiative; follows through with assignments and projects.

• Strong time management abilities; ability to multi-task.

• Enthusiastic and positive attitude. 

• Ability to work independently and be a strong team member.

COMPENSATION:

Salary range for full-time employment:  $38,000 - $40,000        We offer a benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement benefits, paid holidays and paid vacation.
