The Opportunity:
The Boston Waterfront Initiative seeks additional help with community outreach for our exciting project to build a new, accessible, resilient, and welcoming public park at Piers Park III in East Boston. The Community Liaison will assist with an ongoing effort to engage a large cross-section of residents from East Boston and beyond in the Piers Park III design process. This a monthly contract position through at least October 2021, consisting of approximately 15 hours of work per week. Responsibilities will include making direct contact with residents, raising awareness of the project and upcoming meetings and events, soliciting feedback from residents, and serving as a point of contact for the community to The Trustees Boston Waterfront Initiative team. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with the East Boston neighborhood, connections to local organizations in East Boston, and fluency in Spanish. Creative implementation of outreach strategies virtual and otherwise will be key to success.
