Description

Northern Manhattan Perinatal Partnership (NMPP) a maternal and child health agency whose mission is to reduce infant mortality and assist women with healthy birth outcomes seeks a Male Client Service coordinator for its Greater Harlem Healthy Start Program. The Male Client Services Coordinator (MCSC) will be responsible for the coordination of the fatherhood program activities supporting families. Must be articulate when speaking to clients and must build awareness of all the available services in the agency.


DUTIES

1.Encourage participation of males in the program

2.Plan, promote, and facilitate father involvement activities to emphasize and encourage a family approach to child development

3.Promote staff awareness of the importance of father involvement in the child development process

4.Provide support and guidance to fathers in the program

5.Create awareness of the agency's services that can assist fathers

6.Develop relationships with the fathers to encourage long term involvement with the program

7.Coordinate the delivery of father involvement services

8.Provide training and mentoring to clients.

9.Facilitate groups on relevant topics for fathers

10.Support parent involvement projects

11.Attend mandated training and meetings

12.Work as a team with all staff and maintain a positive work ethic

13.Must be reliable and dependable

14.Perform other duties as necessary


QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or any closely related field. The ability to research various topics on the internet. Must be able to to present information clearly and effectively. Should have knowledge of public resources to assist fathers. Ability to solve practical problems that will assist clients. Must have strong listening and organizational skills. The ability to plan projects and work with multiple clients simultaneously. Must have good writing skills. Knowledge of MW Word, Power Point etc.
