The Jewish Communal Fund facilitates and promotes charitable giving to sectarian and nonsectarian organizations through donor-advised funds and provides support to Jewish organizations in New York.


Under the direct supervision of the Vice President, Grants Administration, the Manager will assist in the management of grants from donor-advised funds at Jewish Communal Fund. The Manager will be cross-trained to enable them to perform a full range of grants-related duties.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Review and approve donor grant recommendations.

·        Perform due diligence on charitable organizations recommended for funding through donor advised funds.

·        Ensure legal compliance with grantmaking regulations.

·        Respond to inquiries from recipient grantee organizations and JCF donors regarding grant status and procedures

·        Develop and maintain relationships with donors to facilitate their philanthropy

·        Additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

·        Bachelor’s degree

·        2-4 years of administrative experience, including managing workflow, maintaining records and contacts in a customer relationship database, etc.

·        1-3 years providing client services

·        Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential

·        Detail oriented, ability to multitask and work independently as well as collaboratively

·        Excellent research and analytical skills

·        Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, operate with discretion and use outstanding judgment

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products

·        Knowledge of Jewish community, culture, heritage and traditions preferred
