What You’ll Do 

Program Leadership

  • Lead the collaborative development of Eye to Eye’s theory of change, logic model, and overall program strategy.
  • Set clear impact objectives and learning agendas for Eye to Eye’s programs and ensure all programs are effective in delivering intended impact and facilitating intended learning.
  • Lead innovation efforts to design new programs and innovate within existing programs to drive intended impact, including market research, design sprints, prototyping, rapid testing, and learning and pilots.
  • Facilitate the collaborative development of program-related content and curriculum that leverages the lived experiences of our staff and community of students and educators, along with external experts as needed.
  • Develop and inspire a diverse team of professionals with the capacity and competencies needed to achieve their goals, while playing mentor and coach to all program team members indirectly.
  • Collaborate with direct reports to establish individual and team goals, KPIs, budgets, and project plans to guide their work and ensure accountability.
  • Ensure programs are fully accessible and culturally relevant to the needs and voices of our community at the core, and that every participant and stakeholder have a positive experience.
  • Drive ambitious growth through partnerships and marketing to maximize access, participation, and earned income potential across Eye to Eye’s programs.
  • Ensure all programs and operations are aligned with industry best practices with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
  • Identify, develop, and embed various systems, tools, norms, and processes required to achieve and sustain impact, innovation, and growth goals.


Organizational Leadership

  • Represent Eye to Eye’s programs to current and prospective funders, as well as the Board of Directors, including serving as staff liaison for the Board’s Program Committee and preparing various reports, analysis, and recommendations as requested.
  • Co-lead the collaborative development and vetting of organization-wide strategy, goals, budgets, policies, systems, and various special initiatives.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the mission of Eye to Eye and as a credible subject matter and functional area expert in the field.
  • Facilitate effective cross-functional communication and collaboration that contributes to a culture in which diversity, equity, and inclusion are centered.
  • Mitigate the organization’s exposure to risk, including ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and established guidelines.
  • Provide a compelling vision, clear goals, appropriate guardrails, and personalized coaching and support to a team of functional area leads.

Desired Qualifications

The most critical skills and experiences for success in this role that will be prioritized in the screening process include:

  • Passion for the mission, vision, and goals of Eye to Eye and a personal commitment to inclusive collaboration that prioritizes and incorporates diversity and equity in all aspects of work
  • Deep understanding of the K-12 education market, including specific expertise in special education and learning disabilities, with relevant competencies in curriculum development, instructional design, and educator training.
  • Significant experience building high-quality programs end-to-end and scaling them with clear impact and fidelity.
  • Highly analytical and data-informed approach, obsessed with understanding the “problem” and customer needs.
  • Strong background in innovation, design thinking, project management, and rapid cycle testing and learning.
  • An empathetic and hands-on leader skilled in cross-functional collaboration, invested in the growing talents of others.
  • Demonstrated commitment towards educational equity and a personal connection to learning differences.
  • Business-savvy entrepreneur, familiar with educational sales and fee-for-service business models.

Job Location & Schedule

This is a full-time position based out of our National Headquarters in NYC. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, this position will allow teleworking from any location until it is deemed safe to work full-time at our office. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday with flexible working hours and occasional evening and weekend hours. Travel for special events and conferences is required pending the ease of travel restrictions by the CDC.
