CancerCare's New York City location seeks a full time candidate with excellent data entry skills to handle a high volume of applications from clients who are in need of financial assistance. The process includes sending letters to clients or healthcare providers, application verification and follow up. Accuracy and attention to detail a must - as is the ability to communicate directly with medical professionals, clients and family members,
The position requires compassion and empathy when callers seek follow up on their checks or applications.
Requirements, Education and Skills
- 2-3 years in a business environment such as customer service, income verification, accounting, insurance or medical billing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office is a must.
- Excellent telephone and communication skills.
- Ability to meet productivity expectations and work autonomously.
