The mission of the Kiran Anjali Project is to provide guidance and financial support to institutions providing education to disadvantaged children, especially girls, in India. We envision a bias free world in which all children are given a high-quality education and job skills to be self-sufficient.


Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and experienced independent contractor to join our development team. The Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the donor program, including resource development, public relations and marketing programs of the Kiran Anjali Project associated with such donor program. Primary responsibilities will be to help raise funds for existing and future partner projects and KAP requirements. The Development Fundraising Consultant works with the board and management team and can be the primary interface with current and prospective individual and organizational donors. 


Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Development Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

• Managing and overseeing our annual fundraising plan

• Taking the lead on all fundraising events, including liaising with volunteers

• Cultivating relationships with current and prospective funders and supporters

• Managing the organization’s marketing, messaging, and communications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.

• Minimum of three-years-experience in fundraising and event planning

• Proven track record of raising funds from diverse sources, including major gifts from individuals, foundations corporations, and government agencies.

• Experience in donor cultivation, special events, and contracts management

• Knowledge of and connections to the funding community in Seattle and nationally.

• Strong written and verbal communications skills

• Resourcefulness, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills.
