Description

About MEDLIFE & Good Life Expeditions:

Founded in 2004 by Dr. Nick Ellis, MEDLIFE is a non-profit organization that partners with low-income communities in Latin America and Africa to improve their access to medicine, education, and community development projects. In order to achieve the ultimate goal of a world free from the constraints of poverty, the organization empowers students and volunteers to become advocates for change by creating on-campus Chapters, participating in Service Learning Trips, and supporting the MEDLIFE Project Fund. With this support, MEDLIFE hires and trains local staff to provide high quality 24/7/365 patient care, community development projects, and educational workshops for communities in need.

After years of MEDLIFE volunteers asking to extend their trips, the organization established an in-house tour operator and travel agency that would create authentic, meaningful travel experiences, AND generate much-needed, sustainable funding for MEDLIFE. The partner travel company is Good Life Expeditions, and now crafts authentic travel experiences to Peru, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Nicaragua and Tanzania - the destinations where MEDLIFE operates and where a traveler’s money will be used to make a difference to the lives of locals living in poverty. Trips support the MEDLIFE movement by donating profits directly to MEDLIFE, by bringing attention to MEDLIFE's noble work, and by giving its own travelers a greater sense of connection with the world around them.

The Product Development Specialist will split their time working 50% on MEDLIFE and 50% on Good Life Expeditions.
