Trail Blazers day camp is an outdoor adventure program that takes place in Brooklyn's beautiful Prospect Park. Plan and lead outdoor adventures for your group of campers, working closely with a small team of co-leaders from across the city and around the world.

Group Leaders

Work with 1 to 2 other Group Leaders to develop and implement programming for your smallcamp group of 10-15 campers. Your days will be spent exploring every acre of Prospect Park, with day trips around the city and up to our awesome overnight camp location planned throughout the summer. Use the resources of the park, the expertise of your fellow staff members, and your own creativity and experience to make your program come alive. As the most direct participant in your campers' daily lives, you are responsible for ensuring that their experiences are safe, meaningful, and memorable.


Start date: June 20

Salary: $2500 


Waterfront Instructors/Aquatics Director

You will be responsible for creating and leading swimming lessons with smallcamp groups; during times when your groups are not swimming, you'll support your smallcamps by sharing in the responsibilities of other Group Leaders to create and lead activities. Current or past certification preferred. Ability to pass ARC lifeguard training (provided by Trail Blazers) is required. 


WSI certification needed for Aquatics Director. Will provide for exceptional candidates.


Start date: June 12

Salary: $2500+ plus lifeguard certification


Enablers

You will oversee 3-4 smallcamps, support positive group development, help campers in need of extra support and attention, provide Group Leaders with feedback and evaluation, and ensure that your groups' programming is absolutely awesome. Prior supervisory experience required. 


Start date: June 13

Salary: $3500 


House Manager

Looking to work behind the scenes? Do you appreciate a well-swept kitchen and folks cleaning up after themselves? We are searching for someone friendly and organized to manage the operation of our international staff house. Some evening and weekend hours required.


Start date: June 20

Salary: $3000


Program Director/Program Support

Facilitate the creation of engaging and dynamic nature- and adventure-based programming, empowering staff to create amazing things for their camper groups.


Start date: June 13

Salary: $2500 - 3500 (based on position)


Site Coordinators

Trail Blazers Day Camp runs out of three sites, with 4 to 12 groups per site. Site Coordinators manage all aspects of day to day logistics, staff supervision, and parent communication, reporting directly to the Camp Director. Childcare experience and supervisory experience required.


Start date: June 13

Salary: $4500
