Description

We are a local branch of a national, non-profit career guidance and research organization. We have a full-time job opening for a professional, degreed candidate to begin immediately.


We are looking for intellectually curious individuals to administer and interpret aptitude tests to people seeking understanding of personal abilities as an aid in career or educational planning. We enjoy being informed about the world of work and its many opportunities. Though we are not psychologists, this could be a fulfilling position for someone who is interested in psychology, sociology, anthropology or the social sciences in general. It combines elements of counseling and consulting with test administration to help others learn more about themselves. This position is a combination of clerical, test administration, results analysis, counseling/consulting work, and general office management.


Starting salary is $37,854 and is increased to $41,734 upon completion of training. We offer a medical and dental insurance plan as well as a 403b.


Applicant must:

  • Have excellent ability in communicating detailed ability information to clients.
  • Enjoy working with people on an individual basis in a professional testing and counseling setting.
  • Handle a high volume of paperwork quickly and accurately, and be able to perform general office tasks such as answering phones, scoring papers, and scheduling appointments.


No sales or marketing is involved with this position. Our clients come to us because they want to learn more about themselves in order to find rewarding work. We deal with high school/college students and adults looking for career and educational advice.


We provide full training of the specifics of our testing program and its administration. You bring a positive attitude, a broad background of interests and knowledge evidenced by a bachelor’s degree, a desire to help people learn more about themselves, a strong vocabulary, and a measurable ability to process clerical information quickly.


This is a small office environment. Our hours are 8:00 to 4:30 with no required evening or weekend work, leaving time for life outside work: family, friends, hobbies, etc.
