The Equal Rights Center (ERC) is a national non-profit civil rights organization dedicated to promoting equal opportunity in housing, employment, public accommodations, and government services.
We are seeking LGBT individuals and allies to work as contractors on a part-time, short-term, as-needed basis on a civil rights investigation into sexual orientation-based discrimination.
Participants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to follow detailed instructions, and must be able to write accurate, detailed reports. Participants must also be able to follow strict confidentiality guidelines at all times.
Participants must be legally authorized to work in the US and have a valid Driver's license and reliable transportation because some travel may be involved. A background check will be conducted.
This is NOT a canvasing, sales, or fundraising job. You will NOT be paid on commission and the project does not involve asking for donations.
This is a contract position and participants will be paid per completed assignment.
Much of the work can be done remotely but participants will be reimbursed for any travel costs.
Level of Language Proficiency
Must be proficient writing, speaking, and following detailed instructions in English.
Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required.
