Position Summary:

This position reports to the Director, Finance & Administration and to the Director, Development and will assist these departments in the following duties:

-       Coordinate with staff in all departments to ensure efficient and effective processing and reporting of revenue

-       Establish and maintain relationships with partners and systems to assist with revenue collection and reporting

-       Create materials that support the solicitation of contributions

-       Process incoming payments via wire, check and credit card

-       Process In-Kind donations in accordance with the Board approved policy (same steps as payments)

-       Send thank you and tax acknowledgement letters in a timely fashion

-       Review financial transactions in the financial accounting system on a regular basis to confirm data entry meets reporting needs

-       Maintain filing systems for all revenue documents and reports in both Financial and Fund Development formats

-       Generate monthly revenue reports (Financial and Fund Development) and create ad-hoc reports requested by staff as time permits

-       Process A/P invoices for payments for vendors that support revenue collection and the Development team

-       Monitor, track, and report on program obligations by department related to revenue

-       Work with the Director of Finance & Administration to ensure that grantor/donor rules and regulations for all grant, finance and administrative procedures are followed

-       Assist in preparation of year-end revenue close-out reports and reconciliations

-       Attend regular staff meetings and conference calls regarding grants, financial reports and other departmental matters

-       Regularly review Finance and Membership Records with the Membership Coordinator to ensure all payments are recognized correctly

-       Assist the Board’s Fund Development Committee, Finance Committee and the Board of Directors in fund raising and reporting efforts


Minimum Requirements:

-     Bachelor’s degree

-     Demonstrated ability of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel

Skills Desired

-       Accounting/Finance/Economics background

-       Effective interpersonal skills and customer service orientation to maintain donor relationships

-       Knowledge of Abila and Sales Force software is highly regarded

-       Up to 2 years’ experience in non-profit fundraising/development or a related field

-       Ability to prioritize and move between various tasks as well as multi-task when needed

-       Strong phone skills

-       Strong organizational skills

-       Good sense of humor
