This is a 40 hour a week, full-time, non-exempt role and is responsible for individual giving and event fundraising goals at Rock to the Future. This position is primarily remote with occasional in-person attendance at events, team building opportunities, and as requested. Evenings and weekends may be required in-person for events and virtually for Board and committee meetings. Compensation starts at $50,000+ with medical, dental, vision benefits, paid time off, and paid holidays.

Essential Job Functions:

Donor Management and Cultivation

  • Develop and implement annual fundraising plan for donor awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention
  • Manage and maintain donor CRM
  • Create tax and donor acknowledgement receipts
  • Increase organization visibility through community events and third party fundraisers
  • Develop and improve workflows, processes, and policies as needed 
  • Manage volunteer Engagement Committee and attend additional committee and Board meetings as requested
  • Provide fundraising training for Board of Directors, department staff, and other stakeholder groups

Marketing and Communications

  • Write copy and create content for traditional and digital donor engagement
  • Create monthly donor newsletter
  • Raise organization visibility through through press relations and digital marketing
  • Contribute to monthly marketing agenda
  • Develop and distribute annual Impact Report 

Events

  • Lead planning of the annual Music for All Ball including marketing, ticket sales, donor engagement and giving, and front of house logistics
  • Lead the planning and execution of additional fundraising and friendraising events 
  • Support and attend student performances

Other administrative and creative duties as needed to support individual giving. 

Requirements

  • COVID 19 Vaccine required
  • 3+ years of experience in donor relations and/or donor communication.
  • Knowledge of fundraising, marketing, and donor trends
  • Experience managing a donor CRM
  • Strong technology skills
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Strong networking and engagement skills 
  • Strong multi-tasking, task and time management, and project management skills
  • Upbeat, creative personality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full commitment to and passion for social justice, racial justice, and equity
  • Dedication to the pursuit of continuous learning
  • Preferred: Proficiency with simple graphic creation, photography, and video editing; Experience with asset-based messaging
