Title: Onsite Academic Supervisor
Reports to: Managing Director Wendy Fisher or Elementary Director Jean Peters
Compensation: $17-19/hour, depending on experience
FTE: 35 hours per week 8:30-3:30 non-exempt, benefits eligible, hourly
Purpose and Overview of Role: The Academic Supervision position provides support and guidance for distance learning to students who are on campus in classrooms. These students are attending the Great River School Resource Center onsite during school hours. The Academic Supervisor ensures that students onsite have access to adult guidance, to technology support, snacks and lunch, outdoor and indoor recreation/play and creative expression in a safe, equitable and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
- Directly supervises students between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm
- Prepares the learning environment to be clean, safe and accessible for education
- Provides scheduling and school attendance guidance/supervision
- Provides technology support
- Connects the student to needed resources
- Helps with academic questions as appropriate
- Provides for a sense of community within the student group
- Supervise lunch and recess as needed
- Enforces positive discipline and that safe-healthy practices are followed
- Communicates with Program Director any concerns or challenges
