Background:
Repairers of the Breach, Inc is a nonprofit organization based in Goldsboro, North Carolina, that seeks to build a moral agenda that uplifts our deepest moral and constitutional values to redeem the heart and soul of our country. We organize, train, and work with a diverse group of poor and low wage people, activists, and faith leaders from every US state and the District of Columbia who are rebuilding, raising, and repairing the moral infrastructure of our county. Today, our movement is expanding nationally through our work on the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival (PPC). Repairers of the Breach, along with the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice, are the anchoring organizations of the PPC: A National Call for Moral Revival.
The PPC: A National Call for Moral Revival is a movement building organism uniting tens of thousands of people across the country to challenge the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, poverty, the war economy and militarism, ecological devastation and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. The PPC was launched with 40 days of action in Spring 2018, with a historic 6 weeks of nonviolent moral fusion direct action in over 35 states across the country. Since then, the PPC has grown to include 43 state campaigns and continues to organize to shift the narrative and build power among poor and impacted communities by broadening and deepening our base and registering people for a movement that votes.
Job Summary:
Repairers of the Breach is seeking an experienced and passionate leader who shares our vision of building a broad national moral fusion movement across the country. As National Director Social Justice Organizing with Repairers of the Breach, the primary responsibilities will be to direct all social justice organizing activities of Repairers of the Breach and the PPC. Planning and implementing campaign activities with a talented team of people and ensuring the coordination of the field activities: communications, theomusicology & cultural arts, faith, partner, and policy work of the campaign.

Qualifications:
The National Director can expect to work irregular hours due to the nature of community organizing. All work, related travel has been temporarily halted. However, As the COVID-19 crisis abates, the National Director can expect extensive travel across the country. Travel will include regular staff meetings in North Carolina.

The position is a full-time salaried position with health benefits. Anticipated starting date - no later than May 1, 2021. Salary is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and work experience. Candidates are encouraged to include their desired salary range in their cover letter.
