    Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Junior Staff Accountant works closely with the Controller to ensure compliance with GAAP and adherence to agency’s policies and procedures.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for collection of the agency’s Amex expense receipts and related transaction allocation recorded to Fund EZ;
    • Prepare and batch cash receipts for deposits and posting of all cash receipts, and receivables including credit cards and EFTs;
    • Assist with the monthly revenue reconciliation;
    • Perform daily bank reconciliation;
    • Prepare monthly end bank reconciliation reports for operating and payroll accounts;
    • Prepare annual reporting for all 1099 vendors;
    • Assist and support the Controller during audit season;
    • Perform any other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by the Controller.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • BA/BS in accounting and a minimum of one (1) years’ experience in non-profit accounting.
    • Knowledge of not-for-profit fund accounting software Fund EZ a plus.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively and communicate well with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
    • Must be able to work independently and manage responsibilities with limited supervision.
    • Good analytical skills; attention to detail with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office

    Budgeted Salary: $27.81-$30.72 per hour ($50,625.00 - $55,921.00 annualized base); based on experience pursuant to wage scale in accordance with collective bargaining agreement

    Work position is Full-time, Hourly/Non-Exempt

    Work schedule is currently Hybrid; must be able to meet job location schedule obligations
