As a Member Advocate, you will be the primary point of contact for referrals received by community-based organizations, advocacy groups, public agencies, regulators and provide responses to complex member-related eligibility and health access issues or concerns with strict resolution timeframes. You will become proficient in the mastery of complex case inquiries through detailed written responses based on fact finding, research, and references to Policy and Procedures, and State regulations and work within a highly-effective and dynamic Member Advocate team. In this key role, you will utilize your reasoning and critical thinking comprehension to make a difference in the way our members receive the best quality care.

Duties

The CSC Member Advocate serves as primary point of contact for community-based organizations, advocacy groups, public agencies, regulators, members and families with complex issues or concerns. The CSCS Member Advocate manages relationships and strengthens linkages with community-based organizations and other advocacy organizations.

Experience

Required:

With High School Diploma: 5+ years demonstrated experience working with low economic status populations or other diverse communities in settings such as community-based organizations, social service agencies, clinical settings, advocacy groups, or civic organizations.

Preferred:

With Associate's Degree: 4 years demonstrated experience working with low economic status populations or other diverse communities in settings such as community-based organizations, social service agencies, clinical settings, advocacy groups, or civic organizations.

With Bachelor's Degree: 2-3 years demonstrated experience working with low economic status populations or other diverse communities in settings such as community-based organizations, social service agencies, clinical settings, advocacy groups, or civic organizations Experience resolving individual cases with regulatory state agencies.
